Gael “Dee” Munson III – a lifelong resident of Warsaw – passed away on Jan. 26, 2025, at the age of 81.
Known for his quick wit and engaging personality, Dee served his entire career in automotive sales – with his early years at the family-owned Munson Chevrolet. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army - having served as an MP in Panama - and his life was marked by a love of plants and animals, a relaxing cigar and service to others.
He is survived by Lissa Munson, his wife of 46 years; his four adult children: Tami (Scott) Lauschke, Nate Munson, Derek Munson and Travis (Luis) Munson-Mata; his sister, Elaine Call; and his granddaughter, Sarah Lauschke. He was preceded in death by parents, Gael D. Munson Jr. and Herberta (Robinson) Munson; and younger brother, Herbert “Tony” Munson.
Arrangements are entrusted to Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2000 Sheridan St., Warsaw. Family members will celebrate Dee’s life in private, and in lieu of flowers, request that any memorial gifts be directed to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County.
