A traffic stop on Saturday resulted in three arrests after all three occupants of a vehicle fled on foot but were tracked down.
At approximately 12:39 a.m. Saturday, Indiana State Police trooper Matthew Drudge attempted to stop a red 2003 Chevrolet SUV for an equipment violation Ind. 13, near East Fourth Street, in North Webster, according to a news release from the ISP.
The driver of the Chevrolet is alleged to have attempted to elude police before entering Black Rocks Trailer Park. Once in the trailer park, the driver of the Chevrolet continued to drive before eventually slowing down. Before the Chevrolet came to a stop, a female passenger in the back seat exited and fled on foot. While she fled, the driver brought the Chevrolet to a stop and he and a front seat passenger also fled on foot, the release states.
Drudge chased the woman through several yards, giving her verbal commands to stop. The woman did not comply and continued to run and was subsequently tased and taken into custody. She was identified as Heaven Tendziegloski, 36, Syracuse. Tendziegloski was arrested for resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor, as well as two active warrants for theft.
After taking Tendziegloski into custody, troopers then began to attempt to locate the two men that had also fled from the traffic stop.
ISP trooper John Wilson and his K9 partner, Daisy, were able to track one of the men into a wooded area over two miles from the traffic stop. This man, the alleged driver of the Chevrolet, was taken into custody and identified as Tye Sommers, 35, Syracuse. Sommers was arrested for resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, a level 6 felony, and resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor.
A K9 officer from Winona Lake Police Department arrived to assist with tracking the remaining passenger that had also fled. After another extensive K9 track, officers located the man hiding in a wooded area over a mile from the traffic stop. He was taken into custody and identified as Travis Vanover, 49, Syracuse. Vanover was arrested for resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor, as well as for an active warrant for driving while suspended with a prior and a warrant for a probation violation.
Tendziegloski, Sommers and Vanover were all transported to the Kosciusko County Jail.

Chip Shots: How Callous IS It?
For every 700 to 1,000 words of mine you read on any given Saturday, I have a list of callous, cynical thoughts and remarks I can make about the topics I discuss… easily five-fold of what I allow past my filter and, in turn, e-mail to my editor.
