WINONA LAKE – Dr. R. Larry Overstree, has recently released his third book, “Psalms for Reading, Preaching and Teaching: Proclaiming and Applying Psalms to Yourself and Others.”
It is available as an e-book, published by Amazon Kindle. His desire is to assist believers in Christ to better understand the Psalms, and for pastors/teachers to better communicate them to their audiences, according to a provided news release.
This book will lead readers “through the entire process of selecting, studying, proclaiming and applying the Psalms to your audience, whoever they may be” (from the foreword, written by Larry’s son, Reg L. Overstreet, lead pastor at Community Grace Church, Warsaw), stated the release.
Overstreet has 20 years experience as a pastor, and 32 years as a college and seminary professor. He taught at Grace Theological Seminary from 1979-91.
All those searching for guidance in understanding how to approach the book of Psalms, how to “feel” its contemporary relevance, and how to communicate its truths to self and others, will benefit from this book, stated the release.
Larry and his wife, Linda, currently reside in Winona Lake.
