Kosciusko County Farm Bureau donated $12,000 to local food pantries throughout the county to ensure residents have access to food during the winter months.
Each of the following food pantries received $1,000 from Kosciusko County Farm Bureau:
• Claypool Cares Food Pantry
• Etna Green Community Food Pantry
• Van Buren Township Food Pantry, Milford
• First Baptist Church of Mentone
• North Webster Food Pantry
• Washington Township Food Pantry, Pierceton
• Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church, Silver Lake
• Enchanted Hills Cooperative Building, Cromwell
• Syracuse Food Pantry
• Dane’s Family Food Pantry at Combined Community Services, Warsaw
• Our Father’s Pantry, Warsaw
• The Salvation Army of Warsaw
“Kosciusko County Farm Bureau’s mission is to protect and enhance the future of agriculture and our community,” said Travis Adams, Kosciusko County Farm Bureau president. “Our members have always been prepared to help our neighbors in time of need, especially through donations that help to source essential food items, like protein, to alleviate hunger and help feed people in our community.”
All the food pantries were very grateful, specifically the smaller food pantries, who noted how hard it is to keep up with the need in the community during this time of the year, according to the news release from the Kosciusko County Farm Bureau.
Kosciusko County Farm Bureau has been donating to local food pantries for years and plans to continue to support hunger relief programs, sharing the positive message of agriculture to the Kosciusko County community.
