A Cromwell man will serve 15 years in prison for dealing drugs to undercover officers on two separate occasions.
Andrew Steven Secor, 38, of 9786 E. Excalibur Place, Cromwell, was charged with two counts of dealing methamphetamine, both level 2 felonies. Four additional criminal charges were all dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
Secor was sentenced in Kosciusko Circuit Court on Monday.
For each meth dealing charge, Kosciusko Circuit Court Judge Matthew Buehler sentenced Secor to 20 years in the Indiana Department of Correction, with both charges to be served at the same time. Fifteen years will be executed and five years were suspended on formal probation.
Buehler recommended Secor for participation in Recovery While Incarcerated, but noted it would not reduce his sentence since he had a fixed plea agreement. Secor must pay $375 in restitution to the NET 43 Drug Task Force. A firearm seized during this incident will be forfeited to and disposed by NET 43.
Secor has 326 days of jail time credit, plus good time credit as calculated.
In April 2023, NET 43 made two controlled purchases of meth from Secor. NET 43 purchased a total of 31.4 grams of meth from Secor.
Secor has prior convictions for marijuana possession, resisting law enforcement, fraud, theft, residential entry, battery resulting in bodily injury, meth possession, forgery and burglary.
