Congressman Rudy Yakym Concludes Indiana Innovation Tour

On Friday, Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) concluded his Indiana Innovation Tour which included stops across the second district.
“The best and most important part of my job is meeting with hardworking Hoosiers across the second district,” Yakym said. “It was great to be on the road this week listening to small businesses, innovators and manufacturers. Their insights help me fight for policies that support growth, create opportunity, and ensure every Hoosier can thrive.”
At each stop, the congressman talked with Hoosiers about a wide range of issues important to them, including regulations, taxes, jobs, the economy, a secure southern border, government efficiency and more, according to a news release from Yakym’s office.

Elkhart – Spoke and met with members of the Elkhart Rotary Club.
Mishawaka – Toured and met with employees at Hose Assemblies who have been a critical supplier to the appliance industry for over 40 years.
Mishawaka – Visited with veterans at the Jackie Walorski VA Clinic.
Bremen – Toured and met with employees at Southwire who are now the largest employer in Marshall County and continue to grow and invest in Bremen.
Nappanee – Toured and met with employees at PWI highlighting their cutting edge lift technologies.
North Judson – Spoke, took questions, and met with students at North Judson San Pierre Jr./Sr. High School.
North Judson – Visited the Outstanding Trade Show Services with Starke County officials and discussed their innovative idea to transform the space into a CTE hub for future generations.
La Porte – Toured and met with employees at Boss Industries who are making high quality compressors sold around the country.
Wabash – Toured and met with employees at Wabash Castings who are producing premium aluminum sand casting parts.
Logansport – Toured and met with Steinberger Construction and had lunch with Cass County officials to discuss maintaining Indiana as the manufacturing capital of the world.
Peru – Toured and met with employees at Radel Wood Products who have been a reliable manufacturer and supplier for more than 25 years.
Rochester – Toured and met with employees at Topp Industries who have grown their business from a two-car garage into three facilities that employ 140 Hoosiers.
Warsaw – Toured and met with employees at Instrumental Machine and Development who specialize in production processes for the orthopedic industry.
