Ronald McKenzie, 64, of Claypool, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, at his residence.
Ronald was born on Dec. 30, 1960, in Warsaw, to Jack and Phyllis Shriver McKenzie.
Ron worked at Gatke and Bertch Vending in Warsaw. He raced at the Warsaw Speedway and is in their Hall of Fame, and enjoyed watching races at the track as well. Most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren brought him the greatest joy.
Ron will be remembered by his sons, Zachery McKenzie and Zeke (Ricki) McKenzie, all of Claypool; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; siblings: Mike (Von) Shepherd, of Silver Lake; Tony McKenzie, of Claypool; and Cathy (David) Cox, of Warsaw; nephew, Austin McKenzie; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis; and his father, Jack, who passed away June 15, 2024; brother, Rick McKenzie; and sister-in-law, Hazel McKenzie.
Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 24 from noon to 2 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 105 First St., Pierceton. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Dan Snyder officiating.
Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.
