NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING UPON
PETITION FOR VACATION OF PUBLIC WAY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVE that Ridgestone Development Group, LLC, as Petitioner, have filed a verified Petition to Vacate a Public Way within the Town of Syracuse, Indiana seeking the vacation of a public way, which Petition has been set for hearing before the Town Council of Syracuse,Indiana on 18'" day of February 2025 at 7 pm. The hearing will be held at Syracuse Town Hall, 310 N. Huntington Street, Syracuse,IN 46567. The public way for which vacation is sought is situated in the Town of Syracuse, State of Indiana, and is more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
(a) The first north-south alley lying east of Sigsbee Place, bounded on the south by the north right of way line of Brooklyn Street and bounded on the north by the north boundary of line of Dolan and Miles Addition to the Town of Syracuse, as recorded in Old Plat Book 2, Page 149, now in New Plat Book 1, page 174 in the office of the recorder of Kosciusko County,Indiana for a distance of approximately 136 feet and a width of 12 feet. This alley is situated in said Dolan and Miles Addition to the Town of Syracuse, Indiana, between Lots Numbered 8 and 9.
(b) The first north-south alley lying east of Sigsbee Place, bounded on the north south right of way line of Brooklyn Street and bounded on the south by the by a line that is 106' north of the north right of way line of Boston Street for a distance approximately 206 feet and a width of 12 feet. This alley is situated in said Dolan and Miles Addition to the Town of Syracuse, Indiana, between Lots Numbered 24 and 25; and the north 44 feet of Lots Numbered 36 and 37.
(c) The first north-south alley lying east of Acorn Street (formerly 1" Street) bounded on the north the by the south right of way line of Brooklyn Street and bounded on the south by the north right of way line of Boston Street for a distance approximately 312 feet and a width of 12 feet. This alley is situated in Dolan and Miles Addition to the Town of Syracuse, as recorded in Old Plat Book 2, Page 149, now in New Plat Book 1, page 174 in the office of the recorder of Kosciusko County,Indiana, between Lots Numbered 18 and 19; and Lot numbered 42 and 43.
(d) Acorn Street (formerly 1" Street) bounded on the north by the north boundary of line of Dolan and Miles Addition to the Town of Syracuse, as recorded in Old Plat Book 2, Page 149, now in New Plat Book 1, page 174 in the office of the recorder of Kosciusko County, Indiana and bounded on the south the north right of way line of Brooklyn Street for a distance approximately 80 feet and a width of 50 feet. This street is situated in said Dolan and Miles Addition to the Town of Syracuse, between Lots Numbered 11 and 12.
(e) Brooklyn Street bounded on the west by the east right of way line of Acorn Street (formerly 1" Street) and bounded on the east by north by the north boundary of line of Dolan and Miles Addition to the Town of Syracuse, as recorded in Old Plat Book 2, Page 149, now in New Plat Book 1, page 174 in the office of the recorder of Kosciusko County, Indiana and the west right of way line of Butternut Street (formerly 2"' Street) for a distance approximately 312 feet and a width of 50 feet. This street is situated in said Dolan and Miles Addition to the Town of Syracuse, between Lots Numbered 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21.
(f) The first east-west alley lying south of Brooklyn Street bounded on the west by the east right of way line of Acorn Street {formerly 1st Street) and bounded on the east by the west right of way line of Butternut Street {formerly 2"d Street) for a distance approximately 312 feet and a width of 12 feet. This alley is situated in Dolan and Miles Addition to the Town of Syracuse,as recorded in Old Plat Book 2, Page 149, now in New Plat Book 1, page 174 in the office of the recorder of Kosciusko County, Indiana, between Lots Numbered 16,
17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44 and 45.
ANY PERSON desiring to be heard may file an objection or comment with the Town Councl, and any person may appear at said hearing and be heard in support of or objection to the Petition filed herein. The hearing may be continued by the Town Council without further public notice.
A copy of the Petition is on file in the Office of the Town Council of Syracuse,Indiana.
