TVHS Partners With Purdue Extension For ‘Reality Store’ Money Management Program

February 3, 2025 at 6:19 p.m.

Purdue Extension Kosciusko County announced its partnership with Tippecanoe Valley High School to bring the "Reality Store" program to students in the 10th grade.
This educational initiative consists of six interactive sessions, each lasting 45 minutes, designed to teach essential money management skills, according to a news release from Purdue Extension.
Through "Reality Store," students will engage in hands-on activities that empower them to track their spending, create budgets, devise weekly meal plans and navigate typical monthly expenses. This practical approach not only enhances financial literacy but also prepares students for real-life financial responsibilities.
The sessions will take place within the school, allowing students to learn in a familiar environment while gaining practical skills that will last a lifetime.
For more information about the "Reality Store" program or to learn how to implement it in your own school, please contact Shepherd at 574-372-2340 or via email at [email protected].
If you need a reasonable accommodation or a translator to participate, contact Shepherd by Friday. All Purdue University Extension services are open to the public, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Purdue University is an Equal Opportunity/Equal Access University.
