Goodwill Announces Military Veteran Stand Downs Across 6 Northern Indiana Counties

SOUTH BEND – Goodwill Industries of Michiana’s Veterans Resource Network will host six military veteran Stand Down events across Northern Indiana in 2025.
Events will be held in St. Joseph, Elkhart, Marshall, Kosciusko, Porter and La Porte counties.
Goodwill’s Veteran’s Resource Network connects service members, veterans, their families and their caregivers to community resources that provide essential support to homeless, at-risk, and unemployed veterans. Events offer food, clothing, medical care, mental health resources, job counseling, and more, ensuring that those who have served receive the help they deserve.
“Through the generosity of our community – including those who shop at and donate to Goodwill – we can continue to empower veterans with critical resources to build brighter futures. We are thrilled to be host six Stand Downs this year, to connect more veterans and their families with the support they need,” said Jill Powers, manager of Goodwill’s Veterans Resource Network.
2025 Stand Down Schedule:
• May 17: Kosciusko County, Grace College Gordon Health & Wellness Center, 100 Publishers Drive, Winona Lake
• June 21: Elkhart County, Oxbow Park, 23033 CR 45, Goshen
• July 12: St. Joseph County, Century Center, 120 S. Dr. MLK Blvd., South Bend
• Aug. 23: La Porte County, La Porte Civic Auditorium, 1001 Ridge St., La Porte
• Sept. 27: Porter County, American Legion Post 502, 4290 CR 750N, Valparaiso
• Oct. 25: Marshall County, Autopark Sports Complex, 2923 Vanvactor Drive, Plymouth
