Cardinal Services Transforms Leadership Roles

Easterseals Northern Indiana has promoted Vickie Lootens to chief community impact officer for the regional network with Marcie Arndt as the new executive director for Cardinal Services, effective April 28.
Lootens had been serving a dual role as chief development officer for ENI and executive director for Cardinal Services.
Lootens brings 29 years of experience to her new role, including 21 years with Cardinal Services. As chief community impact officer, she will serve as a key member of the ENI executive team, responsible for driving strategic growth, enhancing community engagement, securing diverse funding streams and fostering meaningful partnerships, according to a provided news release.
Easterseals Northern Indiana is the parent company for Cardinal Services and Easterseals Northeast Indiana.
Lootens earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education with an emphasis in business and special education from Ball State University. Her additional training includes:
• Certification in Fundraising Management (CFRM)
• Benefits Strategic Planning Certification
• ADA Amendments Act Certification
• Kosciusko Leadership Academy
While expanding her impact across the 20 counties served by Easterseals Northern Indiana, Lootens remains deeply committed to Kosciusko County and the work of Cardinal Services, the release states. She will continue to meet with community members, partners and supporters to advance Cardinal’s mission while working alongside her development team to ensure a strong, lasting presence in the community.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to build relationships that will help Easterseals Northern Indiana provide innovative services to more individuals and families throughout our region,” Lootens said. “Having worked with Marcie for nearly 20 years, I have complete confidence in her ability to lead Cardinal Services as it continues to grow in Kosciusko County and surrounding communities.”
Arndt brings more than 21 years of industry experience to the executive director position, including 19 years in leadership roles within Cardinal Services. Throughout her career, she has held various positions, from direct support professional to vice president of programs, giving her a deep understanding of the organization and the people it serves, according to the release.
“I have seen Cardinal Services change and grow over the past 20 years, and I am honored to take on the executive director role at this point,” Arndt said. “Seeing the impact we have every day keeps me committed to our mission and makes me excited for the future of our community.”
Arndt earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Indiana University and has completed prestigious leadership and industry training, including:
• The National Leadership Consortium on Developmental Disabilities – University of Delaware
• Benefits Information Network Personnel
• Kosciusko Leadership Academy (2010/2011)
• Community Relations and Development Training
• CARF (Administrative) Surveyor Certification.
