Edward ‘Ted’ Heaton

Edward “Ted” Heaton, 80, of Warsaw, passed away on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Ted was born on June 17, 1944, in Warsaw, to James and Floie Henderson Heaton. He was united in marriage to Nancy Taylor Walters.
He was a “jack-of-all trades” working for United Telephone Services, Schwans and hauling trailers for Franklin Company. Ted was known as the “Schwan Guy” and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, especially sharing ice cream with them. He loved margaritas from Hacienda and liked to eat out with his family. He would often stop at the Brown-Marathon gas station. Ted was the last of the Heaton family. He attended Walnut Creek Church.
Ted will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Nancy; children: Angie Shafer, Aaron (Darci) Walters, Jeremy (Courtney) Walters and Jill Walters; grandchildren: Derek (Kyrsta) Shafer, Melissa (Todd) Kuhn, Preslie (Wyatt) Amiss, Bishop Walters, Lex Walters, Landon Walters, Lucas Walters, Bristol Walters, Scarlett Walters; and great-grandchildren: Xander, Camden, Jocelynn, Wesley, Kaylea, Blakely and Wren.
He was preceded in passing by both parents; son, Tim Heaton; and numerous brothers and sisters.
A visitation with family and friends will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Oct. 28 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Funeral services in celebration of Ted’s life will begin at noon on Monday, Oct. 28 in the funeral chapel with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
The family kindly request the memorial donations be made to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels to assist the family with funeral expenses.
