The Kosciusko County Solid Waste Management District's board approved the inclusion of bulbs in the depot's amnesty period.
"We're only doing a couple dollars a day in bulbs," said KCSWMD Executive Director Tom Ganser during a board meeting Tuesday. "We're not hurt with the rest of the programs. Amnesty's still going well."
Ganser asked the board to include bulbs until the end of 2024 and re-evaluate fees for bulb collection in 2025. The fee waiver only applies to residential drop-off, not commercial.
The board also approved a quote in the amount of $2,585.82 for the replacement of exterior lights at the Kosciusko County Recycling Depot.
The board's next regular meeting is at 11 a.m. Nov. 19.
