Purdue Extension Gardening Seminar

Purdue Extension Kosciusko County Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator Emily Kresca will present Small Space and Container Gardening at the Senior Center, 800 N. Park Ave., Warsaw, on Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.  
Join them for an insightful presentation on small space and container gardening, perfect for urban dwellers and those with limited outdoor areas. They'll cover the principles of maximizing limited space, including selecting the right containers, choosing suitable plants and employing vertical gardening techniques. Discover tips for soil health, watering strategies, and seasonal planting to ensure your small garden flourishes. Whether you have a balcony, patio or tiny yard, this session will empower you to create a lush and productive garden oasis, no matter the size.

Warsaw Girls Fall For The First Time At Homestead
Two of the top five girls basketball teams in the state met in Fort Wayne Tuesday night, with Warsaw traveling to take on Homestead. The home side led for the entirety of the game, coming up with big moment after big moment each time it looked like the Lady Tigers had an answer. The end result: Warsaw suffering its first loss of the season, 67-55.

City Council Grants $30K In Opioid Settlement Funds To Reentry Court
Along with granting $30,000 of the city’s restricted opioid settlement money to Kosciusko Superior Court I’s new problem-solving court, a Reentry Court, on Tuesday, the Warsaw Common Council determined to form a committee to hear future settlement dollar requests.

Community Foundation Receives Implementation Grant Through Lilly Endowment Inc.
Kosciusko County Community Foundation received a grant of $1,034,500 from Lilly Endowment Inc. through the Community Leadership Implementation Grants component of the eighth phase of its Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow (GIFT VIII) initiative.
