Thomas J. Hobbs, of Huntington, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, in Huntington at the age of 32.
He was born on Dec. 7, 1991, in Huntington, to Jackie Runkel Hobbs and Mitchell Hobbs. Thomas was a 2010 graduate of Huntington High School. He was a production worker at GM in Roanoke. He was a member of the UAW, the Sheriff’s Association and the NRA. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing and loved taking long rides on his Dyna Glide Harley Davidson motorcycle. Thomas was an all-around good person who simply loved and cared for his children and spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by those that loved him dearly and the many friends he leaves behind.
He leaves behind his wife, Makayla A. Hobbs; four daughters: Kinlee Kennedy, Dottie, Rosemary and Daphne Hobbs; and two stepsons, Xander and Zayn Beam. Also surviving are his parents, Jackie and Mitchell Hobbs; sister, Kandi (Josh) Roseberry, all of Huntington; and his in-laws, Joe and Charity Davis, Warsaw.
Friends and family are invited for a time of visitation from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
Thomas’ life will be celebrated with a service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Mark Davis. He will be laid to rest at Palestine Cemetery in Palestine.
