JB's Furniture of Warsaw collected 2,238 pounds of food for The Salvation Army Choice Pantry for fiscal year 2023-24, according to Salvation Army Envoy Ken Locke.
A collection box has been near the entrance of the store at 2101 E. Center St., Warsaw, since 2021.
"JB's Furniture put a container outside of the store during COVID to give people a secondary place to donate food," according to Locke. "An estimate of the value of the donations would be around $3,693."
Donations of nonperishable items may be placed inside the box, and it is asked that only food is given.
The Salvation Army has seen an increase of around 17% in persons accessing the Choice Pantry in the past year.
"We appreciate the folks at JB's Furniture for their support of our mission to serve those in need in Kosciusko County," Locke concluded.
