Congressional Revenge

Editor, Times-Union:
Just a short time ago something happened in our country that had never happened before. An ex-president became a present convicted felon by a jury of his peers that were approved by his lawyers.
Many lawmakers from both the House and Senate known also as The People’s House who support this lawbreaker decided their best course of action was to slow down or stop The People’s Business.
This is their revenge on the court and the Democrats for the verdict they did not agree with. This, in my opinion, is a misuse of their authority. We, the voters, who voted them into office did not hire them to slow down and stop legislation but to move forward and pass legislation. Therefore their revenge is not against the court and Democrats but the revenge is against we the voters.
It makes me wonder what has happened to the Republican Party that was once known as the party of law and order.
