The Second Revolution

Editor, Times-Union:
The seeds for the development of a second American revolution were planted in 1973 when Joseph Coors contributed $250,000 to establish the Heritage Foundation. The seeds rooted and grew and through the decades were nourished by big money individuals affiliated with the likes of Chase Manhattan Bank, Dow Chemical, General Motors, Mobil, Pfizer, Sears, and others. “As of 2010, the foundation reported it had 710,000 individual financial contributions.” -Wikipedia
Heritage Foundation today is a strong, ultra-conservative think tank with 500,000 members and over 2,000,000 local grassroots activists around the nation. In spite of its seemingly inspiring mission statement “to formulate and promote public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional [key word ’traditional’] American values, and a strong national [key word, ‘national’] defense,” the true mission of the group, realized the need for someone to create a cult, and eventually found its vehicle for implementation, in the orange god himself — Donald J. Trump. From the Foundation’s roots then sprouted the plan to achieve its many disguised goals: Project 2025!
This new plan to reshape the U.S. federal government to support the agenda of a Republican Party president blatantly states its Main Organ to be a “Mandate for Leadership” and its parent organization to be the Heritage Foundation. The Project was established in 2022 and “seeks to recruit tens of thousands of conservatives to D.C. … to replace existing federal civil service workers …. to further the objectives of the next Republican president.” –Wikipedia
Members needed to carry out the Project have been recruited and vetted (made sure they agree with the plan) including lawyers willing to go along, and familiar names like Mark Meadows, Stephen Miller and Charlie Kirk. The plan itself, reading like a manifesto, is around 900 pages. The changes the Project envisions should be required reading for every person living in America because, if Trump and his cult assume power in 2025, every person in America will be affected in one way or another; and I promise the only people happy about the changes will be the autocratic ruler and his creator — the Heritage Foundation.
Since I have a word limit of 500 (a mere percentage of one page), and since I have to compete with this newspaper’s frequent guest editorials by members of the Heritage Foundation, I present to you a mini list of changes sought by the Foundation’s Project that will affect your lives:
Ban contraceptives
Raise the retirement age
Cut Social Security
Ban books and curriculum about slavery
End marriage equality
Cut Medicare
Deregulate big business and the oil industry
End no fault divorce
End the Affordable Care Act
Use public, taxpayer money for private religious schools
End free and discounted school lunch programs
Defund the FBI and Homeland Security
Mass deportation of immigrants and incarceration in “camps.” Eliminate federal agencies like the FDA, EPA, NOAA and more.
All in a day’s work for a dictator on his first day!
