The following people were arrested and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:
• 4:47 p.m. Thursday - Nicholas Jeremiah Michael Shroyer, 35, of 402 W. Market St., Nappanee, arrested for theft. Bond: $600.
• 10 a.m. Friday - Juan Alfonso Lopez, 24, of 3762 W. Old 30, #690, Warsaw, arrested for public intoxication by drugs and theft. No bond set.
• 12:35 p.m. Friday - Jeremy Michael Learned, 31, of 3531 W. Ind. 14, Silver Lake, arrested for public intoxication by drugs and theft. Bond: $600.

• 7:22 p.m. Dec. 20 - West CR 1350N, 300 feet east of North CR 400W, Milford. SUV-pickup collision. Drivers: Nevaeh A. Vafleeren, 18, North Perry Drive, Milford; Paul M. Swetik, 55, Edgewater Avenue, Syracuse. Damage: $10,000-$25,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated.
• 4:46 p.m. Tuesday - Intersection of East CR 100N and North CR 300E, Syracuse. SUV-pickup collision. Drivers: Brandon L. Lockhart, 17, Amanda Lane, Milford; Gregory D. Miller, 54, East Bowser Road, Milford. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. KCSO.
• 2:31 p.m. Thursday - 1120 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Pickup hit parked vehicle registered to Jonathan J. Tinkey, South Beaver Dam Road, Claypool. Driver: Dylan G. Reece, 18, Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 8:42 p.m. Thursday - Reckless driving was reported in the 100 block of Lake City Highway, Warsaw. WPD.
• 11:37 p.m. Thursday – Theft was reported in the 3300 block of East Center Street, Warsaw. WPD.

Valley Opens Sectional Play With Win Over West Noble
The Tippecanoe Valley girls’ win on Tuesday night wasn’t the prettiest, but at this time of year that doesn’t matter. The team was able to survive and advance with a victory in the opening game of the 3A Sectional Tournament at Fairfield, pulling away late to defeat West Noble 40-19.

Wawasee Community School Corp. Holds First Hearing On Student Activity Center
SYRACUSE — The first of two state-mandated public hearings on a new student activity center and deferred maintenance projects was approximately 15 minutes long with no public comments Tuesday.
