Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts invites students in grades 2–12 to audition for its upcoming Wagon Wheel Jr. winter production, “Haphazardly Ever After.”
This whimsical, family-friendly comedy offers young performers the opportunity to develop their skills and shine on the Wagon Wheel stage, according to a news release from the Wagon Wheel.
Director of Artistic Operations Jennifer Dow expressed her excitement about Northern Indiana's young talent coming together to create something extraordinary, showcasing their skills and building valuable connections.
“One of the best parts of Wagon Wheel Junior is watching our cast members grow, both on and off the stage,” said Dow. “They walk away with more than just theater experience — they pick up real-life skills like teamwork, creativity, problem-solving and confidence. It’s incredible to see!”
Auditions are at 10 a.m. Dec. 14 for 9- to 11-year-olds and at 11:30 a.m. for 12- to 18-year-olds at the Wagon Wheel Theatre lobby, 2515 E. Center St., Warsaw.
No advance preparation is needed. Participants will learn a song during the audition. Arrive early to complete an audition form.
Rehearsals will be Jan. 23 to Feb. 6. Times will be 5 to 8:30 p.m. weekdays; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays; and 1 to 6 p.m. Sundays.
Performances will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 7, 2 p.m. Feb. 8 and 2 p.m. Feb. 9.
Attendance is mandatory for all rehearsals beginning Jan. 23 and during tech week (Feb. 3–6).
Due to the tight rehearsal schedule, multiple conflicts cannot be accommodated.
“Haphazardly Ever After” is a lively fairy tale about a royal family whose unruly adult children push the king and queen to their wit’s end. With a mix of humor, heart, and mayhem, this production promises an unforgettable experience for both cast and audience, the release states.

Data Center
Editor, Times-Union: I am writing to express my deep concerns about the proposed data center in Clunette, Indiana, and its potential impact on our community's agricultural heritage. As residents, we are fortunate to be surrounded by a rich history of farming and agriculture that has shaped not only the landscape but also the identity of our community. The proposed development threatens to disrupt this tradition and could have long-term consequences for our agricultural future.
