Gladys Eunice Owens

Gladys Eunice Owens passed away on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024, at Paddock Springs in Warsaw at the age of 86. She was a former resident of Claypool, Warsaw and Winona Lake.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, she was born in this county on Feb. 28, 1938, to Florence Ulrickson Fuller and Thomas Herbert Fuller. In 1957 she married Orville Owens, and though they later divorced, they still shared the love of their children.
Gladys attended Silver Lake High School, and lived most of her life in Claypool before moving to Warsaw. For over 20 years she worked in production at Zimmer in Warsaw until she retired in 1988. Gladys loved her family and especially enjoyed becoming a grandmother and great-grandmother. She collected antique dolls, loved gardening and worshipping her Lord at Warsaw New Harvest Church of the Nazarene for many years. Gladys will forever be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend to many.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, John (Barb) Owens, Warsaw; daughter, Cheryl (Rod) Davis, Nappanee; six grandchildren: Jeremy, Jasin, Justin, Natasha, Julie and Matthew; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving is her sister, Judy Kline, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
Gladys’ life will be celebrated with a service at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Edward Robertson. She will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
