Above The Law

Editor, Times-Union:
It was expected when Joe Biden pardoned his son. Democrats have been above the law for decades. Jim Crow laws were a glaring example of that.
The fourteenth amendment states that no state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States. The Plessy v. Ferguson decision by the Supreme Court violated this provision of the Constitution. But Democrats didn't care. That was how they stole civil rights from Blacks and eventually other races that became citizens of the United States. Every Asian born in America became a citizen of the United States. The shame for Republicans was that the Republican governor of California, Governor Stanford, prohibited Chinese from becoming American citizens. But FDR violated the citizenship of Japanese-Americans during WW II and placed them in detention camps. They received reparations but not enough to pay for their government enforced losses.
The Clintons had the Whitewater scandal and the shady dealings of the Clinton Foundation. Hillary had top secret information on her computer and phones, some which told the Chinese government who was spying for America which allowed it to execute those people, but she was allowed to illegally get rid of it. If she hadn't been above the law she would have gone to federal prison.
Many Democrats believe Donald Trump was guilty of felonies. But those "felonies" were actually misdemeanors if they actually were crimes. NDAs are common and rarely considered a crime. To upgrade a misdemeanor to a felony would be like considering the killing of Peanut the squirrel to murder.
Trump was impeached twice and almost three times and Democrats were the reason for them. When Trump wanted Ukraine to investigate corruption which the Biden crime family had been involved in, Democrats impeached him. That was like considering the victim of a bully as the person who did wrong. Republicans wanted to impeach Joe Biden for his involvement in bribery and international corruption, but Democrats protected him and his family. At least Biden leaves office in 2025.
Democrats accused Trump of being a fascist. They also said no one was above the law. Both statements are false. Fascists believe the government should impose its will upon the citizens which Democrats believe. Biden allowed the Justice Department to be weaponized against the citizens and do what Democrats fear Trump will do; send political enemies to prison. Many are still behind bars as if Washington, D.C., became Cuba after January 6, 2021.
Hopefully with Trump wanting to go after criminals in a big way, those who have believed they were above the law will finally be judged guilty. Pray that he's successful.
