NORTH MANCHESTER - Manchester University will host the Fort Wayne Dance Collective for a contemporary dance performance on Monday, Dec. 4.
The performance is at 11 a.m. in Cordier Auditorium at the North Manchester campus. This event is free and open to the public.
The performance will consist of vignettes highlighting different styles of dance and demonstrate the ways dance conveys how beautiful, joyous, chaotic and sometimes unclear life can be, according to a provided news release. Styles of dance will include musical theater, contemporary, tap, social dance, ballet, contemporary hip hop and improv.
Ashley Benninghoff, program director for the Fort Wayne Dance Collective, will provide an introduction for each piece.
The Fort Wayne Dance Collective works to inspire and empower people of all identities, abilities and stages of life through movement arts.
This program is made possible by the Jon Livingston Mock Memorial Fund.
