14th Annual Blackburn Run 4 Others Date Announced

The 14th annual Blackburn Run 4?Others will take place on June 17, 2023. The event hosts both a 5K run/walk and also a 10K run. Race day registration and packet pickup begins at 7:30 a.m. and the race begins at 9 a.m. Registration costs $25 until June 4 when it increases to $32.

Both races begin at the Trailhouse Bike Shop in the Village at Winona. The 5K will take place along the paved greenway while the 10K will include a mix of paved greenway and crosscountry running.

Proceeds from the race will benfit Water For Good, a non-profit dedicated to combating the water crisis in the Central African?Republic through well drilling and well maintenance. Last year, the proceeds from the race co-funded three wells in the Central African Republic.

“I am excited about this year’s race and the impact we can have in the Central African Republic,” event organizer Doug Koontz said. “Water For Good is expanding into new areas and it is fun being a part of it.”

The Run 4 Others is again partnering with 2nd Mile Adventures. Those who sign up and participate in both the Blackburn Run 4 Others on June 17 and the 2nd Mile Adventures Storm The Fort bike ride on June 10 will receive a custom mug. Sign up for Storm The?Fort at www.2ndmileadventures.org/events.

In addition to Koontz contributions, Community Animal Hospital, Fellowship Baptist Church, Miller Cattle?Company, Synergy Partnerships, Barefoot Stickers,  Orange Marketing Group, MudLove, Silveus Insurance, Wildman, VerHage Heating and?Cooling, J Lane Flooring and Design, Miller Sewer and Drain, LT Sliding Window and Door, T-Zone Custom Apparel, Builders Mart and Eastside Auto make the race a reality.
