Don Burns and Vicky Burns are notified that a petition for adoption of a child, D.C.L.S., born to Christina Marie Burns on March 24, 2013, was filed in the office of the Clerk of Kosciusko Superior Court No. 1, 121 N. Lake Street, Warsaw, Indiana. Consent to adoption by Don Burns and Vicky Burns is not required but they are entitled to notice as grandparents pursuant to I.C. 31-19-2.5-3(a)(3) and I.C. 31-19-4.5-1(3), which is limited to the issue of visitation and may not be used to contest an adoption.
This notice complies with I.C. 31-19-2.5-3(a)(3) and I.C. 31-19-4.5-3 but does not exhaustively set forth a person's legal obligations or rights under the Indiana adoption statutes. A person being served with this notice should consult the Indiana adoption statutes.
