Patricia “JoAn” Harris, age 95, of Warsaw, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.

JoAn was born on Nov. 11, 1927, in Delaware, Ohio, the daughter of the late Roy and Eunice Stevens Liston. She was united in marriage to Joe Lyle Harris on Jan. 1, 1947, who preceded her on Oct. 2, 2022.

She was a graduate of Rushsylvania High School in Ohio and continued her education at Marion Business College in Ohio.

JoAn worked as a secretary for the Warsaw Community High School for 13 years and the First National Bank for over eight years. She enjoyed reading and was known to be an excellent cook. She also loved music and dancing. She was an active member of the Live & Learn Home Economics Club, First United Methodist Church and the Warsaw Lions Club.

JoAn will be lovingly remembered by her children: Vicky (Ray) Shumowsky, of Culver; Bonnie L. (Buck) Eibe, of Port Charlotte, Fla; Mike (Annette) Harris, of Warsaw; John Harris, of Kansas City, Mo.; and Jim (Beth) Harris, of Warsaw; grandchildren: Jessica, Matthew, Scott, Brad, Jennifer, Robert, Trevor, Lucas, Ryan, Brett, Ben, Keagan Ann, Travis; and great-grandchildren: Riley, Hannah, Jayce, Ayden, Ethyn, Abby, Jack, Sirus, Solomon, Sawyer, Morgan, Braden, Leila, Gabby, Jake, Logan, Asher and Atlas.

In addition to her parents and her husband Joe, she was preceded in passing by her brother, Richard Liston; and two sisters, Floris Garling and Mildred Hemminger.

Visitation for the family and friends will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, May 8 at the First United Methodist Church, 179 S. Indiana St., Warsaw. A funeral service in celebration of JoAn’s life will begin at 1 p.m. at the church with Pastor Brian Smith and Cindy Gackenheimer officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
