AND OF A PUBLIC HEARING WITH RESPECT THERETO
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Claypool Redevelopment Commission (the “Redevelopment Commission”), as the governing body for the Town of Claypool Department of Redevelopment, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-14, as amended (the “Act”), adopted a Declaratory Resolution on April 18, 2023, declaring an economic development area consisting of certain real and personal property owned by the Indiana-American Water Company, Inc. (the “Economic Development Area”), designating the Indiana-American Water Allocation Area (the “Allocation Area”), designating Indiana-American Water Company, Inc. (including any affiliate thereof, any entity resulting from consolidation or merger thereof, any successor thereto or acquirer thereof, and any acquirer of such designee’s real and personal property located in the Allocation Area) as a “designated taxpayer” pursuant to Section 39.3 of the Act, and adopting an Economic Development Plan (the “Plan”) for such Economic Development Area pursuant to Section 39, Section 41 and Section 43 of the Act.
A general description of the Economic Development Area and the Allocation Area is included in the Plan.
Notice is hereby given that the Redevelopment Commission will conduct a public hearing on May 16, 2023, at 7:30 p.m., local time, at the Lions Building, 205 W. Calhoun Street, Claypool, Indiana, 46510, to receive and hear remonstrances and objections from all persons interested in or affected by the proposed project and the proceedings pertaining thereto.
The Redevelopment Commission will determine the public utility and the benefit of the proposed project. Maps and plats of the Economic Development Area and Allocation Area have been prepared and, along with the Final Confirmatory Resolution and the Plan, can be inspected at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer.
