CITY OF NAPPANEE PLAN COMMISSION

    The City of Nappanee Plan Commission will hold a Public Hearing on April 13, 2023, at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers at the Nappanee City Municipal Center, 300 W. Lincoln Street, Nappanee, Indiana.

    The purpose of the Public Hearing is to hear Petition #04-23-PLN to Replat property by Thomas Mast of My Fathers Land, a new Tract-I to be sold to adjoining property owner Living Gospel Church for access to Haney Drive. The property is located at 300 Haney Drive.

    LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY:

    TRACT-I TO BE SOLD TO ADJOINER ONLY

    This original description is part of the property conveyed to My Fathers Land, LLC in Document Number 2018051048 being a tract of land in the Northwest Quarter of Section 6, Township 34 North, Range 5 East, Jefferson Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana and is from a survey by Christopher W. McCrea dated 2/10/2023. Job Number JK-23019 with John Kimpel & Associates and is more particularly described as follows:

    Commencing at a Harrison Monument at the Northwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 6 and within the right-of-way of State Road 19; thence South 89°34'43" East (basis of bearings established by INDOT VRS Base, using NAD83 Indiana East coordinate system), along the North line of said Northwest Quarter, 729.14 feet (recorded 729.30 feet) to a Brads-Ko Cap pin on the East right-of-way of Madison Street extended; thence South 01°20'37" West, along said East right-of-way extended, 495.90 feet to a 5/8" pin on the South right-of-way of Haney Drive and the Point of Beginning; thence South 01°20'37" West, 319.87 feet to a McCrea cap pin on the North line of Living Gospel Church, Inc.'s property described in Document Number 2018050976; thence North 89°34'08" West, along said North line, 66.00 feet to a McCrea cap pin; thence North 01°20'37" East, 319.86 feet to a McCrea cap pin on said South right-of-way; thence South 89°34'42" East, along said South right-of-way, 66.00 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 0.49 acres more or less.

    Subject to all covenants, easements, or restrictions of record and all applicable building and zoning laws and ordinances and possible rights-of-way and rights of tile and drainage ditches.

    A copy of such proposal is on file in the office of the City Planner of the City of Nappanee, Indiana, City Municipal Building, 300 W. Lincoln St., Nappanee, Indiana. Written objections that are filed with the office of the City Planner of the City of Nappanee before the hearing will be considered.

    All concerned citizens will be offered the right to speak and voice their comment at the Public Hearing. The Public Hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.     

    Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity of the City should contact the Office of the City Clerk-Treasurer, 300 West Lincoln Street, Nappanee, Indiana 46550, (574)773-2112, [email protected] as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.
