SFY 2024-2028 Transportation Improvement Program & Michiana on the Move: 2045 Transportation Plan Amendment

MACOG has developed a State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2024-2028 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The TIP includes a 5-year program of federally funded road, transit, bicycle and pedestrian projects for Elkhart, Kosciusko, Marshall, and St. Joseph Counties in Indiana. Additionally, the Michiana on the Move: 2045 Transportation Plan is being amended to include a project on US 33 from CR 40 to Monroe St, in Elkhart County.

A draft of the proposed program of projects and Transportation Plan amendment is available at area public libraries, MACOG’s office, or on MACOG’s website (macog.com/transportation.html#comment). A review and comment period begins on March 27, 2023, and extends until April 28, 2023. As part of the public participation process, MACOG will offer an Open House from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM (EDT) on April 12, 2023, at the MACOG office (227 W. Jefferson Blvd., 11th Floor County-City Building, South Bend, IN 46601).

The MACOG TIP fulfills requirements for the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) public involvement process. The TIP public participation process is used to satisfy the South Bend and Elkhart-Goshen Urbanized Area Section 5307 Program of Projects (POP) requirements.
