Moore, Feldman Headline Plethora of Lancer League Awards

The Lancers were champs in one of the toughest conferences in the NAIA, winning the regular season championship for the Crossroads League as well as the postseason tournament title.
As a result, the No. 4 Lancers (28-3) earned a plethora of postseason awards from the Crossroads League.
Scott Moore was named the Crossroads League Coach of the Year for the second time in his four-year head coaching career (three times counting the women’s tennis league Coach of the Year he won in 2016).
Elijah Malone and Frankie Davidson both earned First Team All-League recognition, Jakob Gibbs was a Second Team All-League honoree, and Cade Gibbs was honorable mention for All-League.
Malone and Jakob Gibbs also landed two of the five spots on the league’s All-Defensive Team.
Davidson is averaging 15.3 points per game to go along with 5.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists. The sensational senior is shooting 52 percent overall, 46 percent on 3-pointers and 80 percent from the foul line.
Malone is posting an impressive stat line of 14.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game. He is shooting 63 percent from the floor, 37 percent on 3s and 76 percent on foul shots.
Jakob Gibbs (13.8 ppg) and Cade Gibbs (11.7 ppg) also average double figures in scoring. The versatile brothers both shoot at least 52 percent from the floor and 31 percent on 3s while defending a myriad of positions each game.
Grace ranks second in the country in field goal percentage (54 percent), second in assists (19.5 per game) and second in blocked shots (5.2 per game).
The Lancers own nine ranked wins in its impressive campaign to date. Grace, who has been ranked high all season, moved up as high as No. 2 in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll this year.
Grace was named as a host site for the NAIA First and Second Round (presented by Ballogy), which will be held on March 7-8. It will be the first time Grace has hosted NAIA national tournament games in team history.
The full 64-team bracket will be revealed on Thursday night on the NAIA’s YouTube and Facebook pages. The bracket will unveil the three teams who will join Grace in the Winona Lake portion of the NAIA tournament. The winner of the Winona Lake Bracket will advance to the NAIA’s final site in Kansas City.
Three Lady?Lancers Chosen To All-Conference Team
WINONA LAKE - A trio of players from Grace College’s women’s basketball team were named to the All-Crossroads League team on Wednesday afternoon.
Karlee Feldman headlined Wednesday's announcement as she became the first player in program history to be named the Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Year.
Additionally, Feldman was also named to the First Team All-Crossroads League and the Crossroads League All-Defensive Team.
Feldman had a stellar year, leading the Lady Lancers in points (16.0 ppg). She led the league in rebounds (12.0 rpg), field goal percentage (62 percent) and blocks (2.3 bpg).
Feldman also etched her name in Grace’s records books as she set new program marks for single-season blocks (70) as well as career blocks (124).
Feldman became just the fourth Grace player to record 750 career rebounds, and she sits six points shy of joining the 1,000 point club.
For the second consecutive season, Maddie Ryman also earned First Team All-Crossroads League recognition.
Ryman was a consistent contributor to Grace’s offense this season and continued her climb up Grace’s all-time scoring list. She now sits fourth in all-time scoring (1,698).
Ryman ended her 2022-23 campaign at fifth in Crossroads League scoring (15.7 ppg).
Earning a Second Team All-Crossroads League nod was junior Kiersten Findley.
Findley started all 30 games for Grace and finished top 20 in the conference in points (11.7 ppg) and assists (2.6 apg). This is Findley’s second appearance on the All-Crossroads League Team.
Grace is in the midst of its best season in program history with a current record of 21-9. The Lady Lancers set new program records for longest win streak, most regular season wins, most conference wins and most wins in a single season.
Grace awaits the announcement of a potential at-large bid to the NAIA National Tournament. The NAIA will announce the 64-team field on Thursday night at 7 p.m. on the NAIA’s YouTube and Facebook pages.
