Susanna Barr, 60, of Pierceton, passed away on Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, at IU Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

Susanna was born Dec. 7, 1962, in Lansdale, Pa., the daughter of Stephen and Gladys DenBleyker Saint. She was united in marriage to Frank Duane Barr II on June 30, 1984, in Lansdale, Pa., who preceded her Feb. 16, 2021.

She homeschooled three children in following biblical principles and morals. Susanna was very involved in her church. She loved nature, gardening, taking long walks, crocheting and music ministries.

Susanna will be lovingly remembered by  children: Dan (Brittany) Barr, Davao, Philippines; Robert (Sandra) Barr, Columbia City; and Katherine (Barr) and Austin Collins, Fort Wayne; one brother, Thomas “Tom” (Dawn) Saint, of Alabama; and eight grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Frank Barr II, she was preceded in passing by both parents.

A visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 6 at the Bethel Baptist Church, Pierceton. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at the church with a one hour calling prior to the service. Pastor Jim Baughman will be officiating the services. Interment will be at a later date. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel is entrusted with arrangements for the family.
