Barbara Ann Frye, of Cromwell, passed away unexpectedly in her residence on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, at the age of 57.

Known to everyone as Barb, she was born in Huntington, on Dec. 7, 1965, the only daughter of Basil Allen and Sharon K. Stahl Rice. She graduated from Wawasee High School, and it was there that she met her high school sweetheart, David Lee Goddard. The two share two children together. Barb worked as a dough tosser for her family’s pizza restaurant for many years.

Barb was very loving and caring but could be very sarcastic. She passed this trait along to her children. Family was her true joy in life, especially when it came to her grandbabies. She enjoyed playing card games, including gin rummy and solitaire and loved crossword puzzles. Barb was incredibly smart, knowing all the questions when watching “Jeopardy.” Her favorite hobby was collecting miniature items.

Barb will be deeply missed by her son, Jeffry (Christina) Goddard; daughter, Jill (Sarah Olson) Goddard; grandchildren: Bradlee James Goddard, Breanna Skye Fisher, Chasee Lynn Mccume, Annlynn Kathleen Goddard and David Lee Goddard II; one great-grandchild, Fraiya Ray Goddard; and brothers: Bruce (Elli) Rice, Brent (Becky) Rice and Burdell (Emma) Rice. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, David Goddard.

Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Syracuse is entrusted with Barb’s care. Per her wishes, no public services will be held at this time. A celebration of life is being planned for the spring.
