Male Fashions has all the clothing a man needs to look good for any occasion and any season.
Friday, the downtown Warsaw business celebrated its grand opening at a new location with an open house and a ribbon-cutting with the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce.
Tim Hamann, who has owned Male Fashions since 2014, said a reason he moved his business from 109 E. Center St. to 122 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw, was for more space.
“We’ve been looking to get a bigger space, and we found it, and it was close. We still wanted to be downtown,” he said.
The men’s clothing store sells formal, business and casual attire. “We do jeans. We do shorts. We do underwear. We do cologne. We do belts. We do suits. So, pretty much we have everything for a guy that you need. Whether you’re going to the beach - we have swimsuits; if you’re going to a wedding, whatever; or if you’re just going to work or just going to school,” he said, Male Fashions has it.
The clothing inside the store changes with the seasons, but Hamann said they have everything.

Male Fashions also has tailoring available.
“I don’t do that, but we do that. I have a seamstress that works for me,” he said.
If needed, Hamann said a lot of times they can order clothing for people, but not always. “It depends. Seasonal stuff, sometimes they run out of. Other stuff that is year-round, we can get that - like suits, we’re always going to be able to order whatever size suit for somebody. Pants, jeans, all those things, we can order all the time, but if it’s a seasonal product - let’s say a sweater or a short-sleeved shirt or something like that - they may be out of it. But we can try. We always try,” he stated.
A number of brand names can be found inside the clothing store.
“We have Haggar slack, that’s a national brand. Everything we have is national, but I try not to carry stuff that everybody else carries. So, it may be a specialty line that they may not have heard of,” Hamann said.
They have Devil-Dog jeans, which is a company that was started by a U.S. Marine and supports the Wounded Warrior Project. “So we love those jeans,” he said.
Their biggest selling of suits is probably Renoir.
The shoes they offer include Stacy Adams and Nunn Bush. Those are national brands he said people will know.
When it comes to prom season, Hamann said that’s their “craziest” time of the year.
“It’s the busiest for a short period of time, but wedding season goes from like May to October so it’s stretched out over a long period of time. But our retail business is always more than our rental business,” he said. “It’s like 60-40.”

“You can wear it for just an event, or you can do it for prom or you can do it for a wedding. A lot of people get them to go on cruises,” he said.
For any guy looking for a suit for the first time, Hamann advised not to order it online because people always seem to have problems with that.
“We measure people, we take personal interest in them, so we’re going to make sure it fits right, or get it close and then we alter it,” he said.
Even with the increased store space, Hamann said everything else is the same. Hours are still 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the week and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
“We didn’t add any product. We just moved stuff around so you have more space,” he said. “Everything that is here is what was in the other store, it’s just spread out.”
Most people, if you ask them, know Male Fashions as the “tux place,” Hamann said. “But, tuxes are only a small part of what we do. So, regular clothing is the biggest part of what we do, so if you just a need shirt, if you need a T-shirt, if you know you need a pair of socks, we have all that stuff, too. We pretty much have everything for a guy that you could wear.”
There’s always a sale rack. Stuff that is out of season is discounted more, but Hamann said they also try to have an in-season discounted sale where items can be discounted for as much as 50 to 70% off.
