Sharon Elaine Hyde, 87, of Warsaw, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Warsaw.

Sharon was born Nov. 27, 1935, in Fort Wayne, the daughter of the late Marvin and Edith Smith Geyer. She was united in marriage to Bruce E. Hyde Jr. on Jan. 8, 1982, in Warsaw.

She was employed as an operator for the United Telephone Company. Her favorite color was purple. She enjoyed gardening. and especially being a homemaker taking care of her family. Sharon was a member of the First Brethren Church Warsaw.

Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 41 years, Bruce Hyde Jr., of Warsaw; children: David (Joanne) Evans, of Warsaw; Jacqueline Evans, of Silver Lake; and Tracy (Thomas) Parker, of Warsaw; stepchildren: Crystal (Doug) Stahl, of Pierceton; and Harold Hyde, of Palestine; sister, Ruth Klopfenstien, of Columbia City; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by her daughter, Kimberly Yager; stepchildren, Bruce “Buck” Hyde III and Leila Swindle; brother, Bill Geyer; and sister, Jean Hamman.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, May 2 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Funeral services in celebration of Sharon’s  life will begin at noon with Pastor Reilly Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.  

The family kindly request the memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
