Tippecanoe Valley at Triton

Tippecanoe Valley defeated Triton on the road Monday evening, defeating the Lady Trojans 10-0 in five innings. It was the first victory of the season for the Lady Vikings, moving them to 1-1 on the year. Triton is still searching for its first victory, now sitting at 0-4.

It was a great day for Valley’s Molly Moriarty, as the senior hit three doubles and drove in three runs. Fellow senior Corinna Stiles also had three hits and scored three runs. Abby Bowers struck out eight and gave up just one hit in her shutout victory. The lone Lady Trojan hit came off of the bat of catcher Hannah Snyder.

Both teams are in action Thursday, with Triton traveling to Goshen at 5:30 p.m. and the Lady Vikings hosting Winamac at 5.

Wawasee at Fairfield

Wawasee continued a solid start to the season Monday night, defeating Fairfield 5-2. The Warriors are now 3-1 this spring.

Arisai Garcia did most of the damage for Wawasee, going 3-4 with two doubles and four of the team’s five runs batted in. Starting pitcher Haylee Allen had a great performance, going the full seven innings while giving up eight hits but just two earned runs and striking out eleven in the process.

The Warriors travel to Manchester Friday night for a meeting with the Lady Squires at 5 p.m.
