Volleyball

Tippecanoe Valley at Marion

Tippecanoe Valley picked up a road win at Marion to snap a four game losing streak Tuesday, winning 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-12). The Lady Vikings are now 9-11 this season and play their next game Thursday at Wabash.

Northfield at Manchester

Manchester dropped to below .500 in Three Rivers Conference play with a 3-0 (14-25, 17-25, 17-25) loss to Northfield Tuesday. The Lady Squires are now 9-13 this fall, 3-4 in the TRC.

Olivia Neal led Manchester with seven kills and five assists. Paxton Baker had a team-high 24 digs and an ace. Manchester has a tough test at home Thursday when the team hosts 18-1 Southwood.

Maconaquah at Whitko

Whitko picked up its second win in a row Tuesday with a 3-1 (25-15, 23-25, 25-11, 25-16) conference victory over Maconaquah. The Lady ‘Cats are now 20-4, 5-2 in the TRC. Whitko’s next game is Thursday at Fort Wayne Canterbury.

Boys Soccer

Wawasee at Northridge

Wawasee suffered its sixth loss in a row Tuesday at the hands of Northridge, falling 5-0. The Warriors are now 6-8-1 this season, 1-4-1 in the Northern Lakes Conference.

Weston McClintin made 12 saves in goal for Wawasee. The Warriors are on the road Thursday evening at Plymouth.

Culver Academy at Lakeland Christian

Lakeland Christian suffered a defeat at the hands of 2A No. 9 Culver Academy Tuesday, dropping the match 5-0. The Cougars are now 6-9 this fall.

Braden Weirick made 19 saves for LCA. The Cougars play at Trinity Friday night.

Girls Soccer

Maconaquah at Tippecanoe Valley

Tippecanoe Valley had its senior night spoiled by the visitors from Maconaquah Tuesday, losing 6-4 in a high scoring affair that ended in a penalty shootout. The Lady Vikings are now 2-9-1, 1-5-1 in the TRC.

Emma Craig, Macy Peterson and Estella Ward scored the goals in regulation for Valley. Senior Jessica Brito was credited with all three assists.

Warsaw, Homestead Duel To Scoreless Draw
Homestead and Warsaw met at the Tiger Soccer Complex Wednesday night in a battle of two of the top teams in the northern half of the state. The game was ultra competitive with both sides putting together plenty of chances, but no goals, with the game ending in a 0-0 tie.

County Issues Burn Ban Effective Immediately
Kosciusko County issued a burn ban effective at noon Wednesday. Neighboring Marshall and Fulton counties already had a ban in place.
