Girls Soccer

Warsaw vs. Columbia City

Warsaw girls soccer picked up its third win in a row Thursday to advance to the IHSAA 3A Sectional 7 championship. The Tigers defeated Columbia City 3-1to improve their record to 13-4-2.

With the game tied with less than 12 minutes remaining, Lola Pepper scored the go-ahead goal off of her own rebound. A few minutes later Macy Wayne scored an insurance goal to seal the deal. Warsaw takes on Homestead Saturday at 2 p.m. at Fort Wayne Northrop for a spot in the regional.

Manchester vs. Wabash

Manchester had its season ended in heartbreaking fashion in the semifinal of IHSAA 1A Sectional 39 Thursday. The Lady Squires dropped their match 0-0 (1-3) to Wabash, falling short in a shootout. Manchester ends its season with a 9-6-2 record.

Hannah Eberly scored the Lady Squires’ lone goal in the shootout. Grace Smith made six saves on the nine shots she faced. Manchester will return next season.

Tippecanoe Valley vs. Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran

Tippecanoe Valley’s season came to an end at the hands of Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran in the semifinal game of IHSAA 2A Sectional 22 Thursday night. The Lady Vikings fell 9-0 and end their season with a 2-12-1 record. Tippy Valley will return next season.

Volleyball

Wawasee at NorthWood

Wawasee ended its regular season with a loss to NorthWood Thursday, falling 3-0 (17-25, 8-25, 12-25) on the road. Wawasee heads into the playoffs with a19-12 record and finishes Northern Lakes Conference play at 0-7.

Mackenzie Hackleman made 18 digs to lead the Warriors. Wawasee faces off with West Noble on Thursday to begin sectional play.

Tippecanoe Valley at Southwood

Tippecanoe Valley fell back to .500 after a 3-0 (7-25, 20-24, 4-25) loss to Southwood Thursday. The Lady Vikings end the regular season with a 13-13 record and finish sixth in the Three Rivers Conference at 3-6. Tippy Valley begins its playoff push with Glenn on Thursday.

Manchester at Blackhawk Christian

Manchester’s losing streak was extended to four Thursday after a 3-0 (7-25, 11-25, 15-25) loss to Blackhawk Christian. The Lady Squires finish the regular season with a 9-16 record. Manchester will start sectional play next Saturday in the semifinals against Clinton Prairie.

Rochester at Whitko

Whitko picked up a hard fought win over Rochester Thursday, defeating the Zebras 3-2 (25-21, 25-21, 19-25, 18-25, 15-8) at home. The Lady ‘Cats are 22-5 this season and finish fourth in the TRC at 6-3. Whitko will await the winner of Bluffton and Fort Wayne Bishop Luers in the semifinal of its sectional.

South Central at Triton

Triton dropped its fifth game in a row to close out the regular season Thursday, falling 3-1 (27-29, 20-25, 25-13, 18-25) to South Central at home. The Trojans are now 16-14 this fall.

Addyson Viers had 25 kills and Kinsey Atkins had 28 digs. Triton faces off with Culver Community to kick off sectional play Thursday.
