KHRA Hosts Mock Trial On Thursday In Old Courthouse Courtroom

By Staff Report-

Kosciusko Human Resources Association (KHRA) will host a mock trial on Thursday in the Kosciusko County Old Courthouse Courtroom.

The mock trial will feature a simulation of employment discrimination trials based on real-life scenarios. Jackson Lewis Attorneys provide an invaluable training tool for management so they learn to recognize how their everyday decisions impact the organization, according to a news release from KHRA.

The four-hour training will entail opening statements, direct and cross examinations of witnesses with exhibits, closing arguments, jury instructions and jury deliberations and verdicts. Participants are intricately involved in the mock trial to help compare and contrast how different juries might think in a court of law.

Who should attend? The mock trial is a training for managers, supervisors, human resources professionals, business owners and executives. This will allow for leaders to learn how following best practices can minimize the likelihood an organization is tested in court.

Registration is limited to 100 participants. Register through khrashrm.org to reserve a spot. Registration will close on Wednesday at 10 a.m. The cost of the training is $50 for KHRA members or $75 for non-members.
