Girls Basketball

NorthWood at Tippecanoe Valley

Tippecanoe Valley snapped a two-game losing streak by defeating NorthWood 55-47 at home Tuesday. The Lady Vikings are now 4-2 this winter.

Tippecanoe Valley shared the ball well, getting three players in double figures scoring. Lily Ault and Macy Petersen each had 14 points to lead the team while Kaydence Mellott ended her night with 13. Petersen and Corinna Stiles each had nine rebounds.

Tippecanoe Valley plays at John Glenn on Saturday.

Wawasee at Lakeland

Wawasee dropped a nonconference game on the road Tuesday to Lakeland, falling 47-31. The Lady Warriors are now 3-2 this season.

Olivia Horn had five points to go with eight rebounds. Brooklynn Gibson and Ava Couture each had six points to lead the team. Wawasee faces off against Concord at home Friday night.

Adams Central at Manchester

Manchester picked up its first win of the season Tuesday, defeating Adams Central 46-43 at home. The Lady Squires are now 1-3 this season.

Brookelynn Buzzard had 14 points and five rebounds. Hadley West and Olivia Neal had eight points each. Kim Schroll had 12 rebounds to lead all players. Manchester hosts Mississinewa Friday.

Peru at Whitko

Whitko dropped to below .500 Tuesday night with a 43-25 loss to Peru to open up Three Rivers Conference play. The Lady ‘Cats are now 2-3 this winter, 0-1 in the TRC.

Kloe Krieg had 10 points to go along with three steals. Gwen Howard finished with 10 rebounds to hit double figures in the category yet again. Whitko hosts Southern Wells Saturday evening.

Lakeland Christian at Harlan Christian

Lakeland Christian remains undefeated this season after picking up a huge 57-26 victory over Harlan Christian Tuesday night. The Cougars are now 3-0 this winter and play their next game Saturday at Southwood.

Warsaw, Homestead Duel To Scoreless Draw
Homestead and Warsaw met at the Tiger Soccer Complex Wednesday night in a battle of two of the top teams in the northern half of the state. The game was ultra competitive with both sides putting together plenty of chances, but no goals, with the game ending in a 0-0 tie.

County Issues Burn Ban Effective Immediately
Kosciusko County issued a burn ban effective at noon Wednesday. Neighboring Marshall and Fulton counties already had a ban in place.
