FOR PURCHASE OF CERTAIN REAL ESTATE FROM THE TOWN OF PIERCETON, INDIANA
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Indiana Code Section 36-1-11-4.2 and 5-3-2-1(e), that the Town of Pierceton, Indiana has approved the acceptance of an offer, in the minimum amount of $20,000.00 per acre, to purchase a certain 2.4 acre, more or less, tract of real estate located at South First Street, Pierceton, Indiana, consisting of and described as follows:
The west 2.4 acres, more or less, of a 9.96 acre tract of real estate identified in the records as Key No.: 010-134-003, Tax Parcel No.: 010-712001-20; State ID No.: 43-12-34-400-209.000-030, which 2.4 acres shall exclude an approximate 20 foot strip of real estate on the south west border of such tract which is used for ingress and egress by the Town of Pierceton, Indiana.
The purchase agreement to be signed with the Town Council by the successful bidder will, among other things, require the bidder to pay for the survey of such parcel of real estate and pay any and all closing costs.
Additional information and a map/drawing of the certain real estate to be sold is available in the office of the Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Pierceton, at 105 Walnut Street, Pierceton, Indiana.
Offers shall be submitted to the office of the Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Pierceton, at 105 Walnut Street, Pierceton, Indiana, with a mailing address of P.O. Box 496, Pierceton, IN 46562, and must be submitted by December 12, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at which time the offers shall be received by the Town Council at a public hearing thereon.
Offers should be sealed and will be opened at a public hearing to be held on December 12, 2022, by the Town Council at 6:30 p.m. at the Pierceton Community Building located at 105 Walnut Street, Pierceton, Indiana.
The Pierceton Town Council may accept an offer as provided by statute, take the offers under advisement or reject all offers.
