Brightpoint is accepting bids for work associated with the Weatherization Assistance Program. Brightpoint is a private not-for-profit social service agency that is a sub-grantee of federal DOE and LIHEAP grants for residential energy conservation programs for qualified low-income households. Contractors are needed to install cellulose, fiberglass and urethane insulation, to perform building envelope and air duct sealing, to repair and replace space and water heating equipment, to repair and install ductwork to forced air space heating systems, to perform fireplace and chimney safety inspections, to install chimney liners, to install ventilation equipment, and to perform general health and safety measures for site-built and manufactured housing. A bid packet may be obtained by contacting Brightpoint by email at [email protected] with “Bid Packet” in the subject line. The body of the email must contain the trade(s) for which a packet is requested, the name of the requesting individual or company, and an email address to which the bid packet is to be sent. All bid packets will be distributed by email unless a paper packet is specifically requested by US Mail. The deadline for requesting a bid packet is 12:00 NOON EST, Thursday, November 10, 2022.
