She was born on Dec. 7, 1943, to Jack and Betty Knisely in Warsaw. Roberta graduated from Warsaw High School. She married her husband Danny Gregory in 1970. Roberta and her husband owned and operated nine Subway franchises in and around the Warsaw area for over 30 years. She and her husband relocated to Venice, Fla., for the winters but enjoyed coming back to Warsaw in the summer.
Prior to moving to Florida, Roberta was often seen in her gardens, tending to her flowers. She cherished spending time with her daughter, son-in-law, her beloved dog, Macy; and most importantly her grandchildren. She was the best wife, mother and grandmother anyone could ever hope to have. She is remembered by many for the cards she would send you every year on your birthday.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Danny Gregory; son, Darren Gregory; parents, Jack and Betty Knisely; and sister, Christine Edwards.
Roberta is survived by her daughter, DeeDee (Alex) Moseley; grandsons, Darren and Carter Moseley; brothers, David, John, Tom and Mike Knisely; many friends and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22 from 10 a.m. to noon with funeral service immediately following at noon at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Rob Seewald of Leesburg United Methodist Church. A graveside service will follow at Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice, 3550 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34239 (www.tidewellfoundation.org/donate); or to Kosciusko County Cancer Fund, c/o K-21 Health Foundation, 1101 Park Avenue, Winona Lake, IN 46590 (www.k21healthfoundation.org/cancer-care-fund).
