GOSHEN - As of Friday, Goshen Physicians has expanded community access to healthcare with the addition of a new practice, Goshen Physicians Sleep & Allergy Medicine. Goshen Physicians formally purchased Dr. Yatin J. Patel’s Goshen Sneeze & Snooze Clinic as Patel prepares to celebrate his retirement next month.

“We’re very excited to be adding this new practice to our set of Goshen Physician practices. We’ve been privileged to partner with Dr. Patel over the years to improve the health of our community in the areas of allergies, sleep medicine and heart health,” said Randy Christophel, Goshen Health president and CEO. “We are grateful for this opportunity to work closely with him during this transition.”

“I’ve been very fortunate to have enjoyed an extremely rewarding almost 30-year career here in Goshen. It’s allowed me to establish fulfilling relationships with patients, their families and other providers,” said Patel. “Goshen Health has been a trusted partner and I’m glad they can continue to offer the services I provided to the community.”

Goshen Physicians has retained the current nurse practitioners and support staff of the Sneeze & Snooze Clinic who will continue to provide services under the direction of Sultan Niazi, MD, medical director of Goshen Sleep Disorders Center. Services will be offered to patients who struggle with allergies (seasonal and chronic) or sleep issues like sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy and restless leg syndrome. The sleep disorders center will perform sleep studies and procedures while Goshen Physicians Sleep & Allergy Medicine will evaluate, diagnose, treat and refer new and established patients regarding their sleep and allergy health issues.

The office is located at 2417 S. Berkshire Drive, Goshen. Office hours will be Monday to Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to noon. The phone number will continue to be 574- 534-9911.
