WINONA LAKE - Kylie Sauder of Grace’s track and field team was tabbed as the Crossroads League Track Athlete of the Week on Monday.

Sauder had a part in winning two events at the 2022 NCCAA Indoor Championships over the weekend. She won the 800-meter race with an NAIA “A” time of 2:17.38, then teamed up with Nordia Campbell, Heather Plastow and Sara Lopez-Ochoa to win the 4x400 relay.

The Lady Lancers placed fourth as a team in the national tournament.

Grace has two postseason meets remaining, beginning with the Crossroads League Championships this weekend at Taylor.

The Crossroads League named Kameron Koch of Grace’s baseball team as the Crossroads League Pitcher of the Week on Monday.

Koch pitched a complete-game gem to beat Aquinas on Saturday. He threw a seven-inning shutout, limiting the Saints to 4 hits, 2 walks and 0 runs while striking out eight batters.

The Lancers are off to a 5-3 start to the season after playing a pair of series against Aquinas and Trinity International.

Grace’s next series is against St. Xavier on Friday and Saturday in Tennessee.
