Boys Basketball

Manchester at Bluffton


Manchester picked up a dominant win on the road Tuesday, defeating Bluffton 93-45. The Squires are off to a great start this season and sit at 3-1.

Plenty of players got onto the scoreboard for the Squires. Gavin Betten led the way with 29 points, followed by Ethan Hendrix, who put up 20. Tyler McLain had 17 points as well. Manchester will look to make it four wins in a row Saturday against Huntington North.

Girls Basketball

Wawasee at Northridge

Wawasee dropped its first Northern Lakes Conference game of the season Tuesday, falling 65-37 at Northridge. The Warriors are now 6-4 this season, 1-1 in the NLC.

Kaydence Shepherd led Wawasee in scoring with 14 points. Mackenzie Hackleman filled up the score sheet, scoring eight points to go along with four blocks, four rebounds and three steals. Olivia Horn led the team in rebounding with seven.

Wawasee hosts Goshen on Friday.

Huntington North at Manchester

Manchester lost a home game Tuesday, coming up short in a 54-25 loss to Huntington North. The Lady Squires are now 4-6 this winter.

Brookelynn Buzzard had 10 points and four steals. Gracie Lauer had nine points and four rebounds. Manchester will look to get back into the win column Friday when the team hosts Whitko.

Commissioners Declare Disaster From Friday’s Storm; Rescind Burn Ban
At least 115 homes were damaged from Friday’s storm in Kosciusko County. Tuesday, Kosciusko County Emergency Management Agency Director Kip Shuter asked the county commissioners to approve a disaster declaration for the storm that went through parts of the county.
