FORT WAYNE – Parkview Sports Medicine (PSM) is launching the PSM Holiday Shootout, a new basketball showcase featuring 13 area high schools.

The inaugural event is set for Dec. 29-30 at Trine University’s MTI Center. Girls teams will play on Dec. 29, and boys teams will play on Dec. 30. Participating teams will compete at a high level on a college campus, creating a memorable experience for players, coaches and fans.

“Just like the PSM Baseball Series in the spring, the PSM Holiday Shootout is a fun and competitive event that student-athletes can enjoy in the winter months,” said Tommy Schoegler, vice president of orthopedics and outreach, PSM. “As a proud partner of 31 high schools across the region, PSM is committed to helping our athletes grow. In addition to providing excellent medical care for athletes as they train, we want to create athletic opportunities and events that they will remember for a lifetime.”

As a partner of PSM and supporter of high school athletics, Trine University is providing the MTI Center as the venue for the PSM Holiday Shootout. Opened in 2018, the 3,500-seat MTI Center, home to Trine University men's and women's basketball, is considered one of the finest arenas in NCAA Division III. The MTI Center is located at 1215 Thunder Drive, Angola, Indiana.
