    Pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-9-1 et seq., as adopted by Ordinance #11-11-22-001, ESTATE OF GARRY HACKWORTH was ordered on 11/23/2022 to demolish and remove the unsafe building located on real property situate in Kosciusko County, Indiana, which real property  is commonly known as 10 EMS W29 Lane, North Webster, IN 46555, and legally described as follows:

    A tract of land in the Northeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 33 North, Range 7 East, in Kosciusko County, Indiana, more accurately described as follows:

    Beginning  at a P.K. nail 20.00 feet North and 20.00 feet East of a railroad spike marking the Southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 14; thence North  167.00 feet; thence East 120.00 feet; thence South  167.00 feet to an iron  pipe on the North  line of County  Road 550 North; thence West along said North line 120.00 feet to the place of beginning.

    That the said order was affirmed by the Hearing Authority for Kosciusko County on November  22, 2022, but that the order was not complied  with, and that, accordingly, a contract is to be let at public bid to a contractor with all necessary licensing and legal qualifications and who is bonded to accomplish  work to comply with the order.  That the work  to be the demolition  and removal of the unsafe  building  located at 10 EMS W29 Lane, North Webster,  IN 46555, including  the complete  removal  and demolition of the structure  there, but excluding  removal  of concrete  slab  foundations.  The  unit  shall  be disposed  of and not moved to another location within Kosciusko County for the purpose of continued use as a structure.

    Both   the  bid  price  of  the  contractor   who  accomplishes   the  work  and  an  amount representing a reasonable estimate of the cost incurred by the enforcement authority in processing the matter of the unsafe premises may, if not paid, be recorded after a hearing.

Center Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580, until 1:00 PM prevailing local time on the 20th day of December, 2022.  All bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in the third floor old court room in the County Courthouse at 100 W. Center Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580, on the 20th day of December, 2022, at 1:00 PM.

    A copy of the statement  of public bid may be obtained  from the Enforcement  Authority  at the Kosciusko County Health Department at 100 W. Center Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.

    Notice is hereby given that the Enforcement  Authority for Kosciusko County will from this date accept bids for the demolition  and removal of the unsafe building located at 10 EMS W29 Lane, North Webster, IN 46555, including the complete removal and demolition  of the structure  there, but excluding removal of concrete slab foundations. The unit shall be disposed of and not moved to another location within Kosciusko County for the purpose of continued use as a structure.

    Work is to begin within four (4) weeks of bid acceptance and must be completed  within ten (10) days of initiation.

    Sealed bids will be received by the Enforcement Authority, the Kosciusko County Health Department, at 100 W. Center Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580, until!:00 PM prevailing  local time on the 20th day of December, 2022.  All bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in the third floor old court room in the County Courthouse at 100 W. Center Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580, on the 20th day of December, 2022, at 1:00 PM.

    Bids shall be clearly marked "Sealed Bid/10 EMS W29 Lane Demolition", and mailed or hand-delivered  to the Enforcement  Authority,  the Kosciusko  County  Health Department,  at 100 W. Center Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.

    The successful  bidder must be a contractor  with all necessary licensing and legal qualifications. The contractor shall be bonded and insured to accomplish work to comply with the order.

    The right is hereby reserved to reject any and all bids, to delete any portion thereof, or waive informalities in the bidding process.
