By Staff Report-
Kosciusko Kudos recognizes businesses and individuals in Kosciusko County who go above and beyond in the workplace and in the community.
Recently, a freezer at CCS needed for daily use to store food stopped working. Executive Director Randy Polston said, “A local business offered to order some parts and work on it, but due to the age and the issues it was having, they didn’t recommend hanging on to it. The exact freezer we needed to replace it was going to cost more than we had available.”
Polston then reached out to Silveus Insurance Group and told them about the issue. They immediately jumped in to help and challenged their employees to donate money for the freezer and the company matched their donation. After combining the donations from their employees and the company’s match, Silveus Insurance Group was able to make a monetary donation to CCS that will cover the entire cost of the new freezer.
Polston said, “Combined Community Services impacts lives every day to many that need assistance. When operational issues such as this happen, it really throws more challenges at us. Since I started as executive director at CCS, Silveus Insurance has been there for us. They have shared, time and time again, reminding me to reach out to them if we ever have a need. Once again, they came through for us and all of those that need our help. It takes a village to raise a child and Silveus is a huge part of our village. They continue to impact lives daily as well. Thank you, Silveus Insurance Group.”
