NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

    Notice is hereby given to the Citizens of the Civil City of Nappanee (“City”), Elkhart County and Kosciusko County, State of Indiana, that Ordinance No. 1604 ("Ordinance"), for additional appropriations, was introduced at a meeting of the Common Council held on April 18, 2022. At a meeting of the Common Council to be held at 7:00 p.m., on May 16, 2020, both in person at the Municipal Building, 300 West Lincoln Street, Nappanee, Indiana, and virtually via Zoom Meetings, there will be a public hearing on for the purpose of considering the following additional appropriations in excess of the budget for the current year, as follows:

Additional Appropriation        

Parks and Recreation 400 – 2022 Capital Outlays (Truck)    42,224.97

Street Department 400 – 2022 Capital Outlays (CCMG)    717,988.69

TOTAL      760,213.66

    Taxpayers appearing at the meeting shall have the right to be heard. The additional appropriations as finally made will be referred to the Department of Local Government Finance (Department). The Department will make a written determination as to the sufficiency of funds to support the appropriation within fifteen (15) days of receipt of a Certified Copy of the action taken. City residents interested in attending virtually, can contact City Hall by calling 574-773-2112, or emailing to [email protected] to receive Zoom access information. A copy of the Ordinance may be examined at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, 300 West Lincoln Street, Nappanee, Indiana 46550, weekdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
