NOTICE  OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ANNEXATION

BY THE TOWN OF ETNA GREEN, INDIANA

Pursuant to Indiana Code 5-3-1, notice is hereby given that the Town Council of the Town of Etna Green, Indiana will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Etna Green Town Hall, 106 South Walnut Street, Etna Green, Indiana 46524, to hear public input and consider the adoption of an ordinance annexing contiguous land into the Town of Etna Green.

    The area proposed for annexation is two parcels of land generally located at the northwest corner of W 300 N and N 950 W. The annexation area is 22.09 acres and generally bound by U.S. 30 to the

north. More specifically, the proposed annexation is for parcel I.D. numbers 011-055-004.C and 011-055-005.A.

    Information regarding the annexation, including the petitioner’s request and the proposed ordinance, is on file for inspection in the office of the Etna Green Clerk-Treasurer located at 106 South Walnut Street, Etna Green, Indiana 46524. Documents can be reviewed Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pursuant to Indiana Code 36-4-3-3.1(d), a written fiscal plan will be established and adopted prior to the adoption of an annexation ordinance.

    The public hearing is open to all and the opportunity to be heard is given to all. Written comments filed with the Etna Green Clerk-Treasurer prior to the public hearing will be considered. Written comments can be submitted to [email protected] or mailed to P.O. Box 183, Etna Green, Indiana 46524. Letters may also be submitted. The public hearing may be continued from time to time as necessary. Questions regarding the annexation should be directed to the Etna Green Clerk-Treasurer’s Office at (574) 858-9321.
